YOUTH AGRIPRENEURS

We build Youth agriculture and agribusiness capacity.

We provided Consultancy services for Youth Agripreneurs training under the IITA African Youth Agripreneur Scheme ENABLE TAAT project funded by AfDB and Total Exploration and Production Nigerian Limited, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)scheme for Youths drawn from the Nigerian six geopolitical zones.

We successfully executed the capacity development assignment through

• Participant selection
• Intensive classroom training
• Attachment of trainees to integrated farms for practical farming
• Guided Business plan development and pitching for execution strategy and funding
• Post -training follow-up and project monitoring and evaluation

We prepared the Youths to start business with their capital, starter pack and grants if available. We took them through the appropriate strategy for raising capital and taught them on eligibility criteria for obtaining bank loans for scaling up when fully established. We also trained them on how to access and use grants and aids from foundations and development partners. We periodically visit and evaluate their projects and mentor the Youths to guide them to be successful farmers. We use the social media to provide 24/7 mentoring and support services for their business
